What you will do

• Serve as community expert on FOCUS specification, advising end-users on implementations, supporting global directors, and attending member meetings.
• Manage data generator community of cloud providers, billing platforms, and vendors, answering questions, encouraging adoption, aligning launches, and facilitating feedback.
• Manage FOCUS Ambassador program, recruiting advocates and uniting adopters, generators, and practitioners in forums.
• Collect and document best practices, patterns, case studies; create technical content, guides, and success stories.
• Speak at global events, evangelize FOCUS, and recruit speakers for FinOps X and related sessions.
• Align membership efforts between FinOps Foundation and FOCUS, coordinate product launches, and collaborate on technical strategy.

Requirements

• BS/BA technical degree preferred and 8+ years in technical communities, open source projects, or developer relations.
• In-depth knowledge of open source dynamics and navigating complex technical environments with stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of cloud billing data, cost management, financial operations; technical grasp of data schemas and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, proven conference presenting, and compelling technical content creation.
• Strong relationship-building, cross-functional collaboration, adaptability in remote fast-paced settings with multiple priorities.
