Paralegal (Real Estate): Providing virtual legal support for commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, and loan transactions with an accent on title review and closing logistics. Focus on drafting lease agreements, reviewing title exception documents, and coordinating complex closing checklists.

Location: Must be based in the Philippines. Working hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time (PT)

What you will do

• Assist the General Counsel in reviewing title exception documents, identifying issues, and drafting title memos and objection letters.
• Prepare first drafts of leases, extension amendments, and various leasing documents including consents to assignment and commission agreements.
• Coordinate closing logistics, preparing checklists and instructions for purchase and sale and loan transactions.
• Review surveys, draft revisions, and review judgment and lien searches.
• Assemble exhibits for closing and assist in the preparation of settlement statements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and a Paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 3 years of general full-time work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of full-time paralegal experience within the transactional department of an international US firm.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to provide support from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the organization.
