What you will do

• Define and evolve data architecture for the Submissions platform
• Design core manuscript and submission domain data models
• Establish domain-driven data boundaries across platform capabilities
• Define scalable data access patterns, APIs, and event-driven data flows
• Guide engineering teams in implementing robust, scalable data solutions
• Support evolution of legacy systems and establish data governance practices

Requirements

• Strong experience in data architecture and domain modelling
• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
• Experience designing multi-tenant data architectures
• Strong SQL and relational database design skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or cloud-native)
• Experience with data platforms (Snowflake, data lakes), ETL/ELT pipelines, event-driven architectures, and API design (REST, GraphQL)
