Location: Onsite in Alameda, CA. Willingness and ability to work on site required.

Salary: $143,000 - $210,000/year

What you will do

• Architect and implement scalable network solutions, including LAN/WAN, data center fabrics, and hybrid cloud interconnects
• Configure, install, and support network infrastructure like routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and maintenance for network incidents and upgrades
• Monitor performance metrics, capacity planning, and ensure system availability/reliability
• Handle incident/service tickets in ITSM system (ServiceNow) while maintaining SLAs
• Mentor juniors, update knowledge base, and liaise with vendors/ISPs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 8+ years experience, or equivalent
• 8+ years in network engineering, 3+ in senior/lead role on enterprise networks
• 7+ years with switches, load balancers, firewalls, WiFi; expertise in BGP, OSPF, Cisco
• 5+ years in MS Azure networking (multi-region); knowledge of HA/DR
• Proficiency in network automation (Python, Bash), monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Prometheus, ELK)
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills

Nice to have

• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Azure Networking certifications
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), ISE, NAC systems
• ISP/MSP relationship management
