Product Manager, NodeOps (Web3)

TL;DR

Product Manager (NodeOps): Own the incentive systems, compensation frameworks, and performance infrastructure shaping Node Operator behavior and network economics with an accent on translating economic models into production systems. Focus on designing performance mechanisms, automating payment workflows, and delivering actionable performance insights for operators securing DeFi.

Location: Global and remote-based. Try to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

What you will do

• Build compensation and incentive systems influencing Node Operator performance across the network
• Ship performance-based mechanisms for accountability and operator quality improvements at scale
• Design and automate trusted payment workflows eliminating manual processes
• Deliver performance insights and tooling for clear visibility into operator earnings and metrics
• Own economic communications explaining complex changes to Node Operators
• Shape operator allocation and evaluation systems across Chainlink products

Requirements

• Experience owning performance, rewards, or compensation systems end-to-end with measurable improvements
• Comfort working with data scientists, economists, or quantitative teams to translate models into decisions
• Ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly to external stakeholders
• Experience designing or improving payment and compensation workflows
• Track record driving cross-functional work across engineering, data, and operations without authority
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and building processes in emerging frameworks

Nice to have

• Understanding of incentive design and token economics applied to real-world systems
• Experience with crypto economics, staking, or token-based incentives
• Background working with external operators or ecosystem participants
• Exposure to data science or quantitative research in product shipping
• Understanding of oracle networks, validator economics, or decentralized infrastructure
• Direct experience with staking protocols or node operator programs
• Background in mechanism design, game theory, or quantitative finance
• Experience at protocol, L1/L2, or infrastructure company with token economics
