What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
• Lead the transition to GAAP-compliant accrual accounting and stronger revenue recognition practices.
• Design and document accounting policies across revenue, accruals, prepaid expenses, and software capitalization.
• Establish reliable AR, AP, and vendor payment workflows with clear controls and approval paths.
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors to improve audit readiness and tax compliance.
• Evaluate and optimize the accounting tech stack, including ERP and spend management tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in public accounting and high-growth SaaS.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP, monthly close, and internal controls.
• Experience upgrading accounting processes from scrappy to institutional environments.
• Proficiency with ERP tools (NetSuite, QuickBooks) and spend tools (Ramp, Brex, Expensify).
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (E-Verify participant).

• Experience with usage-based pricing or complex enterprise invoicing environments.
• Exposure to AI, software infrastructure, or cloud cost allocation.
• Experience preparing a company for financing, audits, or major diligence processes.
