Salary: $200,000-$220,000 (NYC/SF); geographic pay differential for other US locations.

What you will do

• Serve as SME on technical accounting (ASC 718, 606, 310/326, 842, 740, 805), develop policies, research and document complex transactions.
• Prepare audited financial statements, manage external reporting calendar, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Design internal controls for SOX, streamline reporting processes and automation.
• Partner cross-functionally on transactions, risks, forecasting, and ERP system architecture.
• Assist month-end close, educate teams on technical matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance + Active CPA
• 10+ years progressive experience: Big 4 + technical accounting/reporting in public company
• Expertise in US GAAP, SEC, SOX; fintech/financial services preferred
• Experience building technical accounting function and SOX controls from ground up
• Strong analytical skills, ERP (NetSuite/SAP), reporting tools (Workiva)
• Proven manager with communication and collaboration skills
