What you will do

• Partner with the Controller to lead technical accounting, policy development, and financial reporting for a multi-entity organization.
• Serve as the primary technical accounting lead for value-based care arrangements, including shared savings and risk-based reimbursement models.
• Manage external audit relationships, defend accounting conclusions, and ensure ongoing U.S. GAAP compliance.
• Drive finance transformation through process automation, system implementations, and adoption of modern finance technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Strategic Finance, Legal, and Actuarial to support strategic business decisions and financing activities.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team while strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry roles.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 718) and experience with complex accounting research and memoranda.
• Proven ability to lead technical accounting in a high-growth, multi-entity environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex accounting topics for diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with SEC reporting, IPO readiness, or SOX implementation.
• Background in healthcare, managed care, or value-based care arrangements.
• Big Four or national public accounting experience.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools and cloud-based ERP systems like Sage Intacct.
