Test Analyst

TL;DR

Test Analyst (Web Applications): Identifying testing efforts from design documents, developing test cases/scripts for functional and regression testing, executing web application tests with an accent on meeting deadlines, automation, and defect management. What you will do

• Identify testing efforts required based on design and requirement documents
• Develop and execute test cases/scripts for functional and regression testing of web applications
• Manage test cases, execution, and defects using Microsoft TFS, including training others
• Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation scripts
• Monitor progress against deadlines, resolve issues, and present testing status to leads and managers
• Foster a productive testing environment for maximum throughput

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or related field
• Minimum 3 years executing and reporting on web application tests
• Minimum 3 years writing test cases/scripts for web applications
• Experience with QA strategies and best practices for web testing
• Experience writing SQL queries for test data and validation
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail

Nice to have

• Previous State of California government testing experience
• Experience with Microsoft TFS or Azure DevOps ALM tools
• Experience with IVR testing
• Experience with Tricentis Tosca
• Experience with cross-browser testing
