What you will do

• Act as a senior legal leader assessing risk across a broad range of business matters and driving resolutions.
• Provide legal support to the digital product organization, including product, design, data, and engineering teams.
• Lead legal strategies for AI and generative AI, offering risk mitigation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate major regulatory matters and implement improvements in team operations and budgeting.
• Oversee commercial transactions and directly manage the legal operations team.
• Monitor legal decisions and industry trends to provide proactive strategic advice.

Requirements

• Undergraduate and J.D. degrees with active membership in the New York bar or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in product counseling, intellectual property, technology, and data privacy.
• Must be based in New York City for this hybrid role.
• Proven experience managing teams and achieving results in high-pressure environments.
• Expertise in generative AI counseling and compliance.
• Ability to communicate complex legal implications in clear, simple language.
