TL;DR

What you will do

  • Develop and evolve compensation and benefits strategy aligned with business goals, including market analyses and benchmarking.
  • Lead annual rewards processes like merit reviews, promotions, open enrollment, and benefits renewals.
  • Manage benefits vendors, design wellness programs, and model budgets for finance.
  • Partner with leadership across functions on total rewards consulting, training, and initiatives.
  • Optimize processes with data, AI, automation, and analytics while coaching one direct report.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in compensation and benefits, specifically in digital media/news industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compensation/benefits design, administration, and self-funded plans.
  • Experience with HRIS (e.g., Workday), advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and benchmarking tools (e.g., Croners).
  • Strong analytical skills, project management, communication, and ability to influence leaders.
  • AI literacy and use of AI tools for productivity required for all roles.
