What you will do

• Create automated visualization workflows in partnership with product/engineering and train AI systems on best practices.
• Set and enforce style standards for charts, maps, and graphics across markets.
• Audit datasets for integrity, validate sources, and identify misleading visuals.
• Design reusable chart templates and produce data-driven stories for distribution.
• Support local investigations with advanced visualization and prototype new formats.
• Train reporters on data querying and tools, provide feedback on stories.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Strong journalism background with data reporting experience.
• Comfortable validating data at source using SQL.
• Deep understanding of visualization principles and pitfalls.
• Experience with AI for workflow automation and building templates.
• Ability to work with product/engineering teams and spot anomalies systematically.
• Clear communicator for complex methodologies.
