Tech Lead (JavaScript)

Location: Remote, for candidates based in the UK

Salary: From £90,000 per year, plus annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide technical and line-management leadership to a development team.
• Take responsibility for successful project delivery and resolve blockers proactively.
• Work directly with clients to translate business and technical requirements into technical briefs and applications.
• Shape architectural decisions focused on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Ensure software development, DevOps, testing, and agile best practices are followed.
• Report project status to clients and hirify.global leadership to support effective decision-making.

Requirements

• Significant software engineering experience as a Senior Engineer leading projects and mentoring others or as a Technical Lead.
• Experience with JavaScript technologies or Python.
• Experience working directly with clients or customers to understand technical requirements.
• Experience leading engineering teams through technical delivery, including line management or mentoring.
• Strong understanding of agile practices, design patterns, test-driven development, testing best practices, and Git.
• Understanding of DevOps, cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and operational concerns including monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR.

• 90-minute Technical Lead assessment covering architecture design, technical implementation, and code standards and feedback; an additional client interview may be required.
