Software Applications Engineer (Underwater Robotics)

Location: Fareham, United Kingdom; onsite role.

What you will do

• Design and implement application and software solutions for underwater robotics applications.
• Design and develop software for the next generation of underwater vehicles.
• Support and develop existing codebases and products.
• Develop control software and backend server structures.
• Build functional web pages and software components for Windows and Linux environments.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or a software engineering qualification with industry experience.
• Strong C++ skills with demonstrable knowledge of at least C++11.
• Familiarity with control software development and a solid understanding of software design and architecture.
• Experience with backend server design and structure.
• Familiarity with standard web technologies and the ability to construct functional web pages.
• Experience with JavaScript, Python, XML, JSON, HTML, or CSS on Windows and Linux.
