Software Development Engineer (AWS Security)

What you will do

• Build and manage services that detect and automatically mitigate cybersecurity threats across AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with security engineers, data scientists, and software development engineers on automated detection and mitigation workflows.
• Design scalable, low-latency architectures for processing large datasets and security telemetry.
• Improve system observability, performance, efficiency, testing, automation, and operational excellence.
• Build security detections and network and security controls that help customers reduce risk.
• Mentor teammates and evaluate, develop, and advocate for new technologies.

Requirements

• Professional, non-internship experience in software development.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Professional experience with Java, C#, Python, or Rust; TypeScript experience is a plus.
• Experience with Linux operating system development.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Experience developing backend applications that process large datasets such as network flow logs or security telemetry.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
