Graduate Software Engineer - Backend (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop and enhance software across the backend technology stack.
• Rotate between Backend Engineering and Market Connectivity teams.
• Build new features and maintain existing functionality with business stakeholders.
• Contribute to design, development, integration, automated testing, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Quants, Product, Algo Developers, Infrastructure, and Support teams to deliver trading solutions.
• Support fast-moving release cycles and continuous improvement through new technologies and approaches.

Requirements

• Degree in a STEM discipline.
• 6–18 months of Software Engineering experience, including relevant internships or placement years.
• Programming experience in an object-oriented or functional language such as C#, C++, Java, Python, Golang, or Rust.
• Strong foundations in computer science, including software design, algorithms, and data structures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Interest in FinTech and the crypto or digital assets space.

Nice to have

• Experience within financial markets.
• Understanding of portfolio, execution, or order management systems.
