What you will do

• Lead design direction for AI-powered Search experiences from concept through global execution.
• Define traveler intent expression and results exploration to ensure clarity, transparency, and trust.
• Develop high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and scalable experience patterns across multiple brands.
• Partner with senior leadership in Product, Engineering, and Data Science to align roadmaps and priorities.
• Translate advanced ML capabilities into intuitive, human-centered interfaces used by millions worldwide.
• Elevate overall design quality through mentorship, critique, and the establishment of shared standards.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in product design, with at least 4 years leading design teams at scale.
• Expertise in search, discovery, or recommendation systems with deep knowledge of AI/ML influence on relevance.
• Proficiency in modern design platforms including Figma, Cursor, and prototyping with LLMs.
• Proven track record of simplifying complex information into intuitive product experiences.
• Must be based in the US (NY, LA, San Jose, SF, or Seattle).
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills for influencing senior stakeholders.

• Deep knowledge of semantic search, natural language interfaces, and AI explainability principles.
• Experience collaborating with ML engineers to translate complex models into scaled user experiences.
