Staff RF Geolocation Engineer (RF/Signal Processing): Leading the development of advanced passive RF geolocation capabilities for electromagnetic warfare products with an accent on TDOA, FDOA, and hybrid geolocation architectures. Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Hawthorne, CA or Washington, D.C. (Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance).

Salary: $180,000 - $230,000 (base)

What you will do

• Design and derive advanced passive RF geolocation algorithms, emphasizing TDOA, FDOA, and hybrid architectures.
• Develop coherent and non-coherent passive geolocation and imaging approaches using phase-aligned multi-node processing.
• Apply statistical signal detection frameworks (Neyman-Pearson, Bayesian, CFAR) to maximize detection probability.
• Model and mitigate real-world non-idealities such as oscillator phase noise, timing jitter, and low-SNR conditions.
• Implement signal processing software in Python, MATLAB, and C++ for DSP and GPU architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define RF front-end and timing requirements.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing RF signal processing, estimation, or geolocation algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for modeling and implementation.
• Strong foundation in estimation theory, linear algebra, and time-domain signal processing.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Ability to work on-site 3-5 days per week in Hawthorne, CA or Washington, D.C.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field.
• Current U.S. security clearance.
• Peer-reviewed contributions to geolocation techniques.
• Experience with software-defined radios (SDR) and associated RF toolchains.
