What you will do

• Design and develop RF and microwave hardware from UHF (200 MHz) through Ka band (30 GHz).
• Architect and design PCBAs, including schematic capture, component selection, and layout using Altium.
• Qualify designs through rigorous environmental testing, including vibration, shock, thermal, and TVAC.
• Integrate RF electronics into software-defined radio (SDR) systems for satellite communications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of FPGA, DSP, and mechanical engineers to prototype and refine systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
• 1+ years of experience in microwave and RF engineering.
• Experience designing multilayer PCBAs and integrating COTS integrated circuits in Altium or similar tools.
• Proficiency with RF circuit modeling tools such as Cadence AWR Microwave Office and Keysight ADS.
• Ability to operate RF test equipment, including vector network analyzers (VNA) and spectrum analyzers.
• Must be a "U.S. Person" (Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, etc.) as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with component selection for space radiation environments and flying hardware in space.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic modeling tools like Ansys HFSS or Altair FEKO.
• Experience with FPGA design and implementation for RF applications.
• Knowledge of SIGINT, electronic warfare (EW), and satellite telecommunications.
• Understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) concepts like spread spectrum, BPSK, and QAM.
