What you will do

• Define and execute technical strategy for Create area, aligning with product goals and driving daily active usage in Gemini App.
• Lead multiple engineering teams building content input/understanding and generative content features like visual media and music.
• Partner with Product Management, UX, and Data Science to deliver LLM-forward capabilities and integrate GenAI models.
• Foster innovation, collaboration, and rapid iteration; track KPIs focused on DAU.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies with GenAI, Workspace, and other teams for feature delivery.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of all Create-related features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in software engineering, building and working with systems in technology organizations.
• 7 years of experience managing teams of software engineers and managers of engineers.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience incubating and scaling new product initiatives from 0 to 1 in fast-paced environments.
• Expertise in deploying large-scale AI/ML systems, particularly generative AI for consumer products.
