What you will do

• Act as the senior technical authority for façade and external wall systems, focusing on fire performance and remediation strategies.
• Provide technical oversight, peer reviews, and final sign-off for high-risk façade deliverables.
• Lead technical approaches for complex appointments and represent the firm in discussions with regulators, design teams, and clients.
• Manage technical risk and develop internal standards and quality assurance processes.
• Mentor and support the growth and performance review of engineers across the façade team.
• Collaborate with the Director of Facades on fee strategies, workload planning, and resourcing.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience in façade and/or external wall engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent technical judgement on complex and high-risk projects.
• Strong understanding of façade systems, materials, construction techniques, and performance.
• Experience in technical governance, peer review, and quality assurance.
• Must be based in the UK (specifically London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, or Edinburgh).
