Senior Civils Design Engineer

Engineering services provider delivering process, mechanical, electrical, ICA, and civil design and installation projects for the water, wastewater, marine, energy, and power sectors.

What you will do

• Lead civil designs for water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, tanks, chambers, and hydraulic structures.
• Produce and check calculations, drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical reports.
• Provide technical input across feasibility, outline design, detailed design, and project delivery stages.
• Support programme, cost, risk, constructability, tender, and contractor design reviews.
• Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers and act as the technical point of contact for the civil discipline.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams, clients, regulators, and contractors.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant civil design experience in the water and/or wastewater sector, including UK water utility or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic structures and pipework, concrete and structural design, drainage and earthworks, roads, and pavements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, CDM Regulations, water company standards, and industry best practice.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering projects under AMP frameworks.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital delivery.
• Design-and-build project experience.
