What you will do

• Oversee the lifecycle of IP assets and execute offensive and defensive IP strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the identity market.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to identify patentable inventions and collaborate with outside counsel on high-quality patent applications.
• Advise on trade secrets, software copyright (including OSS), and trademark enforcement for the hirify.global and Auth0 brands.
• Draft, review, and negotiate IP-specific provisions in MSAs, JDAs, vendor contracts, and licensing agreements.
• Conduct IP due diligence for potential acquisitions and support all phases of IP litigation.
• Deliver training to employees on IP best practices and ensure compliance with SaaS and cybersecurity industry standards.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Bar membership.
• USPTO Registered Patent Attorney.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of IP experience, including software patent prosecution.
• Experience with SaaS, cloud-based software, or relevant technology.
