What you will do

• Manage and implement a wide variety of consulting projects on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and conduct building and fire code reviews, plan analyses, and site visits.
• Develop fire protection strategies and performance-based design approaches to resolve client design issues.
• Prepare and peer-review technical reports related to project outcomes.
• Communicate technical strategies effectively to project team members and clients.
• Act as a "Seller-Doer," utilizing client connections to develop new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (preferably Fire Protection), Architecture, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Building Code and Fire Protection Consulting.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Concord, CA.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or NICET Level IV certification is highly desirable.
• Experience developing building code concepts, equivalencies, and conducting field inspections.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials.
• Experience managing portions of large, complex projects.
