What you will do

• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Engineering to define and improve Auth0’s technology stack and architecture.
• Lead innovation in IAM with focus on Agentic Identity and evolve product offerings.
• Embed in Engineering teams for large projects, provide guidance for smaller initiatives.
• Design, architect, and document large-scale distributed systems.
• Develop complex functionality in Node.js, Go, and cloud services like AWS, Azure, Kubernetes.
• Investigate bottlenecks, drive technical decisions balancing simplicity, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers, participate in leadership discussions and on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 10+ years software development experience, 5+ years on cloud applications.
• Experience with API-first apps (REST/gRPC), distributed systems, multi-cloud (AWS/Azure, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Identity Protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), authorization/authentication.
• Experience building AI Agents or MCP servers, security engineering.
• Strong communication skills, performance management, tracing tools.
• Ability to build consensus and create clarity for technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Deep experience in Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) or Golang.
