What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and manage engineering team performance, 1-on-1s, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with Product Manager to brainstorm and design technical solutions for user pain points.
• Drive team planning, execution, and process optimization for efficient, high-quality delivery.
• Oversee service maintenance, SRE processes, reliability, and incident management for data tools.
• Manage IT support workflows and collaborate with IT Support Automation Engineer.
• Lead architecture, design, and development of data tools and custom business solutions.
• Communicate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders for seamless integration and usability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams with direct people management and growth focus.
• Solid Python experience for managing and maintaining existing tools.
• Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing data tools like BI platforms, notebooks, catalogs.
• Deep experience brainstorming technical solutions from business requirements.
• Ability to manage flexible planning, priorities, and deadlines.
• Experience monitoring and tuning development processes.
• Strong SQL, database concepts, data modeling, and warehousing knowledge.
• Excellent cross-regional communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang (main stack for new tools).
• SRE processes implementation or maintenance.
• DWH or banking/fintech experience.
• Familiarity with Superset, Jupyter Hub, or DataHub internals.
• Data integration like Apache Kafka.
• ETL tools like Airflow or DBT.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Snowflake or Lake House architectures.
