What you will do

• Execute month-end close processes and prepare financial reports aligned with client requirements.
• Process payroll and manage employee onboarding via Gusto or similar platforms.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable while maintaining general ledger accuracy across multiple entities.
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax accurately and on time.
• Develop custom reports for business insights and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Standardize and document accounting workflows to identify and remove inefficiencies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong expertise in accrual accounting and GAAP financials.
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location, or multi-segment businesses.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Experience with U.S. sales tax filings and payroll systems like Gusto.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, Paylocity, or ADP.
• Familiarity with Ramp or Bill.com.
• Experience using time-tracking tools such as Clockify.
• Background working in outsourced accounting firms.
