What you will do

• Build high-quality hero creature rigging and skinning using Maya.
• Set up and execute simulations for cloth, hair, rigid bodies, crowds, and muscles.
• Troubleshoot complex rigging and pipeline issues for artists across different departments.
• Mentor junior character artists to help them develop their technical skills.
• Develop scripting utilities, tools, and plug-ins in Maya using Python.
• Collaborate in reviews, dailies, and department meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Maya rigging for animation, VFX, or games.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Graphics, Fine Arts, Design, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Linux, Maya, and Houdini.
• Strong experience with Python scripting.
• Deep knowledge of anatomy and enveloping.
• Must be able to work hybrid in Vancouver, Canada.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of C++.
• Basic proficiency in modeling, texturing, lighting, or animation.
