Location: Remote (Canada)

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 a year

hirify.global is a game development studio currently working on a AAA Sci-fi action title.

What you will do

  • Create and develop high-quality, real-time VFX using a proprietary game engine.
  • Author immersive VFX for new features within an existing Sci-fi IP.
  • Collaborate with tech art and programming to meet visual and performance targets.
  • Own the full pipeline from asset creation to in-engine implementation.
  • Work independently to deliver VFX tasks and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Re-use existing textures and materials from expansive libraries to create new assets.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience developing VFX for games.
  • Proficiency in 3D software (Maya, 3ds-Max, or Blender) and 2D software (Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer).
  • Solid understanding of timing and shape for visual effects.
  • Strong proficiency in developing shaders and materials for real-time VFX.
  • Experience with dynamic FX scaling and variable integration at runtime.
  • Proficiency in VFX optimization techniques.

Nice to have

  • AAA Game experience.
  • Familiarity with Embergen.
  • Coding and scripting knowledge.
  • Passion for sci-fi games and media.
  • Experience working with existing IP assets.
