What you will do

• Support R&D engineers in the research and development of endoscopic vessel harvesting devices.
• Collaborate on the design and development of mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks.
• Design and assemble test fixtures for both wet lab and bench-top environments.
• Participate in risk management activities, including hazard analysis and DFMEAs.
• Plan, execute, and report on component and systems testing.
• Attend engineering meetings and design reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 full academic years of education in Mechanical Engineering or a similar curriculum.
• Advanced proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Pleasanton, CA.

Nice to have

• Exposure to a machine shop environment (manual milling machine, lathe, drill press).
• Experience with the programming and use of CNC equipment.
• Experience with force testing equipment such as Instron.
• Experience with Minitab or similar analysis software.
