What you will do

• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear engineering specifications and design tradeoffs.
• Define system architectures for complex machine designs, including static electromechanical systems and integrated automation.
• Design industrial automated equipment, focusing on high-reliability end effectors and failsafe features.
• Develop electromechanical packaging solutions involving sheet metal, PCBA constraints, and thermal management.
• Manage external turnkey providers and subcontractors contributing to system solutions.
• Optimize system performance and throughput for high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred).
• At least 8 years of experience in machine design.
• High proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM, and enterprise/MRP systems.
• Strong fundamentals in FEA, tolerance analysis, and precision alignment.
• Knowledge of DFM, outsourced assembly, and safety compliance.
• Must have valid US work authorization (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

• Experience with motion control or automation systems.
• Familiarity with injection molding.
