What you will do

• Manage end-to-end design and manufacturing of parts and sub-assemblies.
• Fabricate prototypes and iterate rapidly to move concepts toward high-volume production.
• Develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate product lifetime.
• Conduct component-level testing for performance, durability, and reliability.
• Complete and release component designs and technical documentation, including 2D drawings.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary experts and establish relationships with vendors and CMs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (senior year of study).
• Ability to commit to a 6-month internship working on-site in Mountain View, California.
• Demonstrated hands-on project experience in mechanical design, ideally with consumer-facing products.
• Foundational understanding of materials and high-volume manufacturing methods such as Injection Molding.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD modeling software.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, basic finite element analysis (FEA), and design for reliability.
