Salary: $140,400–$224,250 + equity

What you will do

• Build and lead a scalable data governance program and operating model to ensure data accuracy and security across the enterprise.
• Define governance rhythms, decision frameworks, and policies aligned with privacy, security, and ethical AI standards.
• Implement a semantic/context layer, including a business glossary, metrics, and data contracts to standardize data understanding.
• Partner with Security, Legal, and Engineering to embed governance into tooling and workflows for safe AI innovation.
• Establish golden data sources, standards, and stewardship models to ensure cross-functional accountability.
• Drive data quality improvement by defining KPIs and leading remediation efforts with data owners.

Requirements

• 5+ years in data governance, analytics engineering, or data program management with strong cross-functional influence.
• Demonstrated ability to build functional governance programs that balance enablement with control.
• Strong understanding of privacy and security principles (access controls, classification, retention).
• Proven success partnering with leaders across Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Legal/Privacy.
• Must be permanently based in the United States.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical requirements for business stakeholders.

• Experience with healthcare or regulated data environments (e.g., HIPAA/PHI).
• Expertise in enabling ethical and responsible AI practices (training data governance, bias considerations).
• Hands-on experience implementing semantic/metrics layers or business glossaries.
• Familiarity with modern data catalogs, lineage tools, and transformation frameworks.
