What you will do

• Design cost-effective solid rocket motor structures and propulsion components optimized for production at scale.
• Lead the creation of innovative solid rocket motor designs independently.
• Manage the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production builds.
• Utilize rapid iteration cycles to validate product performance and refine designs.
• Produce and authorize CAD models and drawings adhering to ASME Y14.5-2009 guidelines.
• Collaborate with the supply chain to mitigate availability risks and reduce time delays.

Requirements

• Degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical engineering, or physics.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build (including academic rocketry).
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
• Proficiency in CAD software (NX, Creo, or CATIA) and expertise in GD&T.
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.
• Master's degree or PhD in a technical aerospace or mechanical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with high-rate production in non-aerospace domains.
