What you will do

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot balloon catheter components and systems.
• Collaborate with physicians to translate clinical needs into technical product requirements and concepts.
• Identify and mitigate technological risks throughout the design process.
• Lead projects from the concept phase through to full commercialization.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and contribute to the generation of intellectual property.
• Participate in cross-site technical forums to align technical goals with business unit strategy.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Level 8) with 7+ years of experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• Proven expertise in balloon design and medical device product development.
• Strong knowledge of polymers, sterilization processes, and ISO standards for medical devices.
• Proficiency in CAD (Solidworks preferred) and Design for Six Sigma principles.
• Experience with pre-clinical evaluations and design control.
