What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership and management oversight for Electrical (EE), RF, and Mechanical (ME) Engineering teams.
• Define the multi-year hardware roadmap to ensure performance, connectivity, and cost-competitiveness.
• Drive the integration of AI into hardware engineering workflows to accelerate design iterations and automate analysis.
• Manage strategic relationships with major hardware vendors and contract manufacturers in East Asia.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Software, and Operations leadership to align priorities and deliver world-class products.
• Improve hardware engineering processes with a strong emphasis on Design for Manufacturing (DFM).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in hardware engineering, with 8+ years in leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in wireless connectivity, including 4G, 5G, Cat-M, LoRa, Zwave, and WiFi.
• Proven track record of managing vendor and supplier relationships in a hardware product environment.
• Experience deploying AI into EE, RF, or ME workflows to enhance productivity.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in the IoT, security, or connected devices industry.
• Background working with cellular module vendors and carrier ecosystems.
• Knowledge of industry safety and security standards such as UL/ULC and SIA.
