What you will do
- Design mechanical systems for new nuclear power plant designs or modifications to operating plants.
- Perform comprehensive mechanical system design engineering and analysis for assigned systems.
- Provide technical direction, guidance, and task coordination to internal and external team members.
- Conduct complex research to develop recommendations for equipment and materials selection.
- Manage assigned project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Prepare complex engineering calculations and deliverables following standard methods and principles.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable codes/standards for nuclear power plants.
- Must be authorized to work in the US (Visa sponsorship is not available).
- Ability to pass pre-employment onboarding, including background checks and drug screens.
Nice to have
- Expertise in Condensate, Feedwater, and Cooling water systems.
- Experience with P&ID development and technical specifications for mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in pipe, pump, and control valve sizing calculations.
- Experience with high-pressure and auxiliary steam systems.
