What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers focused on improving mechanical design standards, SOPs, and guides.
• Maintain and update Mechanical Engineering Department SOPs, work instructions, and design standards to ensure UL/CSA compliance.
• Lead cross-functional root cause investigations to identify and resolve recurring mechanical design or build issues.
• Coordinate with DTO Design Managers to align mechanical design practices with current production needs.
• Validate manufacturability and documentation readiness prior to the release of new product designs.
• Collaborate with plant teams to ensure designs are consistent with equipment and process capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in mechanical design for electrical equipment or switchgear.
• 5+ years of management or technical leadership experience.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and familiarity with PDM/PLM environments.
• Working knowledge of UL, CSA, and NEMA standards.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Jacksonville, FL.
