Location: Field-based in British Columbia, Canada; must be able to travel throughout BC and work away from home for periods of time

Salary: $37.00 - $60.00 hourly

What you will do

• Validate existing Primary Survey Control and establish additional control points as needed.
• Liaise with clients, supervisors, and contractors to ensure survey work meets project specifications.
• Execute the layout of lines and grades for Day Labour construction.
• Collect and download field data using specialized equipment for CAD processing.
• Prepare red-line and as-built drawings based on project requirements.
• Provide training and mentorship to Survey Assistants.

Requirements

• Degree or technical diploma in Geomatics.
• Minimum 5 years of construction surveying experience, with at least 2 years in a Lead Surveyor role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Trimble Business Center.
• Extensive experience with GPS survey equipment, Total Station robotic instruments, and data collectors.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in inclement weather and diverse terrain.
• Must be willing to travel throughout British Columbia and work away from home.

Nice to have

• Registration as AScT or C.Tech with ATTBC, or as a survey student (ss)/Land Surveyor in Training (LST) with ABCLS.
• Knowledge of MoTT highway and MMCD construction standards and specifications.
