Engineering Technician (Defense-Aerospace)

TL;DR

Engineering Technician (Defense-Aerospace): Interprets engineering drawings, constructs, modifies, debugs, and tests tools, equipment, and systems with an accent on advanced machining using manual and CNC controlled equipment. Location: McLeansville, NC (onsite), U.S. citizenship required

Hourly Rate: up to $31.50/hr (W2, non-benefited)

What you will do

• Interpret basic engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
• Construct, modify, debug, troubleshoot, calibrate, test, and adjust tools, equipment, and systems.
• Conduct, analyze, and document statistically based experiments to define process parameters.
• Implement and document complex solutions for process improvement.
• Design and construct basic tooling and fixtures for unique tasks.
• Organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolutions.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent plus minimum 3 years relevant experience.
• Advanced machining experience with manual and CNC equipment (HAAS Mills, 4th/5th Axis, Lathes).
• Solid knowledge of fabrication tools and ability to fabricate complex hardware.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAM software.
• Ability to use GD&T and measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauge, etc.).
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift min 50 lbs, work overtime as needed, and communicate with peers and engineers.
