Location: Charlotte, NC, Remote. This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on OPT and STEM-EXT OPT, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp.

Total Cash Compensation Range: $130,000-$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage software engineers through training, mentorship, and leadership.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and drive team delivery.
• Plan sprints, scope projects, and partner with PMs and cross-functional teams.
• Improve processes, code quality, and manage Jira workflows.
• Lead SRE, incident management, DevOps practices, and culture.
• Deliver feedback, reviews, and align on talent and resourcing.

Requirements

• 2+ years as Engineering Manager leading software teams.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React/Next, Node, Typescript, SQL, AWS/Azure.
• Experience with Terraform, full-stack development, databases, API integrations.
• Testing: integration, E2E, regression.
• Agile methodologies, Jira; sales/CRM/ERP systems experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical skills, growth mindset.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT; AWS certification.
• Telemetry (New Relic, Cloud Watch), DataBricks, SQL debugging.
• Eventing, data pipelines; legal/compliance audits.
• Managing diverse expertise; multi-sprint teams; consumer internet.
