Accounting Manager

TL;DR

Accounting Manager (Finance): Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP with an accent on GL, AP, intercompany reconciliations, and compliance. Focus on coordinating statutory audits, tax filings, process automation, and managing a team of accountants.

Location: Hybrid position with three days per week in Berlin office (Alexanderplatz). Must have legal right to work in Germany; no visa sponsorship available.

What you will do

• Lead financial close processes ensuring timely and accurate IFRS and Local GAAP reporting
• Oversee GL, AP, and intercompany activities including bookings, payments, and reconciliations
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve open items
• Coordinate statutory audits and tax filings across international entities
• Manage intercompany processes and collaborate with controlling, tax, and treasury teams
• Drive process improvements, standardization, automation, and internal controls
• Mentor and develop a team of accountants

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 6–8 years of accounting experience with GL, AP, and intercompany processes
• 2–3 years leading or mentoring a team
• Working experience with HGB (highly preferred), IFRS nice to have
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) and strong Excel skills
• Full professional proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)
• Legal right to work in Germany

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA)
