Head of Tax (Senior Manager)

Head of Tax (Senior Manager): Functional and disciplinary lead of the Tax Department ensuring compliance to all tax requirements with an accent on VAT, company tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing. Focus on supporting financial statements and audits, improving tax processes, developing integration roadmaps for subsidiaries, and managing stakeholders including C-level.

Location: Karlsruhe (Hybrid working model with home office option)

What you will do

• Lead the Tax Department (5 employees) functionally and disciplinarily.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, company tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Support Group Accounting, General Ledger, Tax Accounting, and annual audits on tax matters.
• Provide tax guidance to hirify.global Business IT and define tax standards.
• Maintain and develop Tax Compliance Management System with United Internet Tax Department.
• Improve tax processes, integrate subsidiaries, support ERP implementation, derive Tax-KPIs, and manage stakeholders.

Requirements

• Academic background in finance and international tax.
• Proven experience leading tax teams in multi-tiered groups and corporate tax departments.
• Passed Tax Advisor Exam.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management (incl. C-level), and experience with transformation programs.
• English language proficiency.
• Resilience and preferably IFRS knowledge.
