TL;DR
FP&A Analyst (Fintech): Supporting Bankrate’s planning, forecasting, and reporting engine with an accent on modern data management and scalable data pipelines. Focus on building driver-based models, automating financial reporting, and conducting ROI analyses for Marketing and Product teams.
Location: Hybrid (Charlotte, NC or New York, NY). Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
Salary: $80,000 – $115,000 per year

What you will do
- Build driver-based and sensitivity models to improve predictability of revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Produce monthly P&L, forecasts, and variance bridges to identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Increase the percentage of P&L and KPIs delivered via automated reporting and document data lineage.
- Develop new methodologies to model business costs and pending accruals across the organization.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Commercial teams on ROI analyses (CAC/LTV) and standardized KPI definitions.
- Contribute to the annual and long-range planning through clean inputs, reconciliations, and scenario work.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or finance operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting with an emphasis on Statistics or Data Analytics.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, including lookups, index-match, pivots, and basic scenario modeling.
- Proficiency with BI/FP&A tools such as Workday/Adaptive, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Solid grasp of financial statements and P&L mechanics.
- Must be based in the US (East Coast preferred) to support EST hours.

- Familiarity with SQL.
- Comfort with statistical modeling platforms like R or Python.
