What you will do

• Lead legal strategy for generative AI products, including risk mitigation and design reviews.
• Manage China-specific AI regulatory filings, such as algorithm disclosures and LLM registrations.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, representing the company in inquiries and consultations.
• Translate evolving legal landscapes into actionable guidance for internal product and engineering teams.
• Advise on AI-related provisions in commercial contracts and user-facing legal documentation.
• Develop internal legal policies and training programs to navigate regulatory risks.

Requirements

• Legally qualified to practice law in the People’s Republic of China.
• 7–10+ years of legal experience, including in-house tech-driven environments.
• Deep knowledge of China’s regulatory landscape, specifically generative AI compliance.
• Proven ability to manage regulator relationships and represent the company formally.
• Strong risk awareness with balanced, pragmatic judgment.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones and work effectively in global teams.
