Instructional Designer (Education): Designing and developing learning experiences for electrical distribution systems manufacturing with an accent on translating complex technical content into multimedia learning solutions. Location: Fully onsite in Surrey, British Columbia. Not available for California residents.

Salary: C$ 39.00 - 50.00 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct learning needs analyses and partner with SMEs to identify performance gaps and define measurable objectives.
• Design learner-centered instructional strategies using ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom's Taxonomy across multiple modalities.
• Create high-quality e-learning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and video-based learning using Articulate 360 and professional AV equipment.
• Design and deliver Train-the-Trainer programs to equip training specialists and SMEs.
• Implement evaluation strategies and leverage performance metrics to continuously refine learning solutions.
• Manage the LMS to build, deploy, and report on training programs and learner records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Education, Communications, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related L&D role.
• Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, DeepHow, or Synthesia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work on-site in Surrey, BC.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience with a portfolio of multi-modal learning solutions.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Vyond.
• Experience operating professional audio-visual production equipment.
• Professional certification in instructional design or L&D (e.g., ATD CPTD).
