Salary: $84,000–$94,000 per year

What you will do
- Implement multi-pronged campaigns to influence Wisconsin political and civic leaders on democratic norms and institutions.
- Maintain and expand cross-partisan coalitions and strategic partnerships with grassroots and advocacy groups.
- Develop legislative and regulatory advocacy plans, including model policies and bill language.
- Work with lawmakers, agencies, and coalitions to advance reforms into law.
- Represent the organization via media briefings and expert commentary on state issues.
- Monitor and analyze legal/policy updates and support national state advocacy team.
Requirements
- Based in Wisconsin with strong knowledge of its political environment and pro-democracy ecosystem
- 3-5+ years relevant experience in policy development, campaigns, or advocacy at state/federal level
- Proven relationship-building across political spectrum and advocacy ecosystem
- Experience executing complex projects with collaborative, results-oriented approach
- Ability to draft legislative/regulatory proposals and exercise political judgment
- Flexibility in fast-paced environment, growth mindset, and commitment to nonpartisan mission
Nice to have
- Juris Doctor or strong legal background in legislative drafting and analysis
- Familiarity with Wisconsin election law and administration
- Experience with Wisconsin legislature, election officials, or executive branch
