Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 CAD

What you will do

• Develop and implement integrated multi-channel communications strategies to support mission programs.
• Create compelling storytelling assets featuring people with lived experience, donors, and healthcare providers.
• Manage media relations to position the organization as an authoritative voice in cardiovascular and stroke health.
• Execute strategic public relations plans, including the drafting of news releases, fact sheets, and Q&As.
• Handle sensitive media queries and manage issues using established protocols and scripts.
• Brief and train internal spokespeople to ensure they are well-prepared for media interviews.

Requirements

• University or college degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of related work experience, with preference for the non-profit or healthcare industry.
• Must be currently residing in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Proven expertise in media relations and issues management, including confidence working with reporters.
• Experience developing social strategies and content as part of integrated communication plans.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice to have

• Ability to work in both official languages (English and French).
• Previous management experience within the healthcare or non-profit sector.
