TL;DR

Senior Editorial Software Community Manager (Software): Leading the creation and acquisition of high-quality technical content for the InfoQ community with an accent on software innovation and developer education. Focus on reviewing technical articles, mentoring the editors team, and exploring new content channels to support millions of developers worldwide.

Location: Must reside in Europe, Africa, or South America (time zones GMT-3 to GMT+2). Must be able to overlap work hours with EST 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

hirify.global is a remote-first tech media company based in Toronto that operates the educational platform InfoQ and the QCon conference series.

What you will do

  • Develop and acquire technical content to maintain InfoQ as a primary source for tracking software innovation.
  • Review technical articles and provide constructive feedback to authors to ensure high publication standards.
  • Coordinate, mentor, and grow the internal team of InfoQ Editors.
  • Spearhead the exploration of new topics, channels, and online experiences for the reader community.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background as a software developer, engineer, system/network/database administrator, business analyst, or QA tester.
  • Proven experience in producing technical articles (portfolio of published work required).
  • In-depth understanding of emerging software trends and a passion for delivering quality products.
  • Excellent English (written and spoken).
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally (including the USA and UK) 3-5 times per year.
  • Reliable high-speed internet (min 25 Mbps down / 6 Mbps up) and a modern computer.
