Systems Engineer / Software Engineer

Location: Remote from Jordan, with regular travel to customer sites across the Middle East; candidates may be located in the Middle East or Eastern Europe. Availability during EU core business hours is required.

What you will do

• Set up and configure customer environments and establish a reliable technical foundation.
• Install, configure, maintain, and operate software on customer systems.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, provide customer support, and maintain system stability.
• Automate deployments and operational processes with scripting to improve repeatability and reduce manual work.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to keep projects moving.
• Travel regularly to customer sites across the Middle East for deployments, go-lives, and operational support.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a comparable Systems Engineer, Operations, Platform, or DevOps role.
• Advanced Linux administration and Bash skills.
• Experience with Kubernetes or SQL databases such as Oracle Database or PostgreSQL; experience with both is advantageous.
• Confident English and reliable availability during EU core business hours.
• Strong willingness to travel regularly within the Middle East.

Nice to have

• Experience with smart metering or IoT environments.
• Experience troubleshooting Java applications in production.
• Experience with Kafka or similar message brokers.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Prometheus, Grafana, Python scripting, or networking fundamentals.
